"A very important piece of advice I can give you is don't try a new look for your wedding day, you still want to look like yourself, just at your most beautiful. I would say stay away from extreme makeup trends and go with a more classic look that will enhance your best features. You want a look that will stand the test of time."
Pre Wedding Trial
For the Bride I think it is really important to have a trial. This is an ideal opportunity for us to discuss ideas for example different looks, styles and colours.
It is a chance for you to tell us your likes and dislikes, the colour of your wedding dress, your flowers, jewelry and the overall theme of your wedding day. It is so important to me that you feel happy and confident with the makeup I apply, I am there to help you create the look that you want, a look that will enhance all of your best features, photograph lovely and last all day!
I will assess your skin type to determine which products would be most suitable for you. Then taking all this into consideration including your hair and eye colour we can start with your trial makeup. Once you are completely happy with your bridal look I will take a photo then write a detailed description of all the products, colours and techniques that were used so that it is all ready for your wedding day. Your trial makeup is done during the week at my home in Crook, County Durham. You are more then welcome to bring some company with you (maybe your mother or bridesmaids), it's a really nice opportunity for us all to meet.
Wedding day Makeup
On your wedding day I will arrive at your home or venue at the time that we agreed to at your trial. Generally the rest of the bridal party will have their make-up applied first then once your hair has been styled your makeup can begin. Bridal make-up will take about 1 hour and is an opportunity for you to relax and have some champagne. For the rest of the bridal party the make-up application will take around 45 minutes per person.
Leading up to your wedding day I will post you a 'Morning time plan' this is just a copy of the schedule that we will be working from on the wedding morning. we like to give you a copy so you can make sure it is ok and will fit in with your time plans, it's also great for making sure all is going to plan. At the same time I will send you a copy of the invoice so that you know your remaining balance.
I will provide you with a small amount of your chosen lip stick and a disposable lip brush so that you can re apply throughout the day. However if you would prefer at the trial you can make a note of the lipstick make and colour so that you can purchase one for yourself.
